“ Just want to start off that the passion fruit margarita was amazing. This cute spot is located on the second floor and it's very spacious. Service was awesome and they were very attentive. Everything comes in large portions. I had a lot of leftovers. I'm not sure what type of frying oil they use but the tostones tasted weird because of it. Not sure if they use the same fryer for all foods, but something was definitely off. I went with the chicken enchiladas, they have a different twist to it, they use cabbage instead. For dessert we went with the apple empanada. ”
“ Great views, great drinks, and clean environment. Always feel safe and protected with the staff members around. ”
“ This place is outstanding. drinks amazing, food amazing, prices and service amazing. Everyone is so friendly and is a safe environment, even during after hours the bouncers are phenomenal. And ambiance is great vibes and the whole place is kept immaculate ! :) ”
“ Came here on a Sunday afternoon for a late lunch with my daughter and had a wonderful experience. Our waitress Melissa (who was also bartending, hosting and running food with a smile) took her time with us answering questions about the menu and recommending great individual dishes for everybody. The service was outstanding despite it being so busy with little support staff. I could see there were other tables, bar patrons and people placing takeout orders and yet melissa never made us feel rushed and gave us her undivided attention. Not only does she clearly enjoy her job, she's very good at it!! She made us the most incredible espresso martini which we will 100% be back for. The food arrived quickly- we got the corn dip and fresh guacamole Melissa recommended and they did not disappoint. We ate them so fast I couldn't even get a picture!! We ended up wrapping up the tacos to take home. In addition to the incredible food and service Melissa also let us know about your weekly happy hour, brunch and daily drink specials. Maybe you'll see us for the ugly sweater boozy brunch on 12/15! Thanks Melissa, we will definitely be back!! ”
“ I've been to Barito Tacos & Cocktails a few times, and while the food is excellent, there are a few things to consider before you go. I attempted to have Friendsgiving there last year, but it was quite loud, making it difficult to catch up with friends. As the night goes on, the noise level tends to increase, so if you're looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, try to arrive earlier. During another visit, I found that food was only available at the bar, but it was packed, so I chose to head somewhere else. When I did manage to get seated earlier, I ordered the chicken bowl, expecting it to be loaded with toppings. However, it was mostly rice, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the food is consistently good, and the appetizer nachos are definitely a standout! The staff is nice and accommodating, but keep in mind that they often ask for IDs after a certain hour, even if you're just dining. Barito is a great spot for delicious food, but be mindful of the timing and noise level if you're planning a social outing. ”
“ Came here because TikTok told me to, which was overall a solid recommendation. If you're the type of person who gets indecisive when too many appealing options are on one menu, you may find ordering at Barito a bit overwhelming, which I sure did. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and was happy to find that we were able to be seated immediately. It kind of hurt my heart to eat indoors on such a nice day, but the interior of Barito gets lots of natural light and is well decorated with fun summer vibes, so it still felt good to be seated here. My partner ordered the strawberry coconut margarita, while I opted for a peach one. I hate being a difficult customer, but I took a sip of it and it just wasn't doing it for me. Our server was gracious and let me swap it out to have a strawberry coconut margarita instead which was so delicious and rimmed with fresh coconut. To start we ordered the corn dip which was fresh and delicious, and also huge! We ended up taking it home. Equally large were my partner's enchiladas and my Dorito crunch wrap with barbacoa, which took me a solid three days to finish once I took it home. Prices are extremely fair especially for the amount of food you get here. Definitely come hungry! ”
“ Had a very fun time at Barito! Only went at night so not sure how their food is, but I felt like drinks were solid. The G&T was pretty standard but they for sure didn't skimp on the tequila in the tequila soda. My party larger than 10 people so we got several pitchers of margarita. It was very tasty although the last one was mixed poorly. For the most part, it was on the sweeter side with a strong tequila base. Drink prices were reasonable for Long Island. I really liked the throwback music and the colorful lighting there. With the windows open, temperature was good and not stuffy at all. Lines weren't too crazy and bathrooms were actually decent! ”
“ I was out with friends so I was distracted and only took two pics but I will say this we had a great time and the food was delicious. We shared a rice dish, shrimp salad, quesadillas and a guacamole app. My blueberry crumb margarita was off the hook good, I had two. Definitely try this restaurant located in Port Jefferson. ”
“ Large windows for the second-story view, cool lighting, and live music! It felt familiar and lively - the restaurant captured this atmosphere very well. We came for dinner, and near the end more people were starting to come in as the night progressed. Service was great and the food came out quickly. I ordered the carnitas quesadilla which I thoroughly enjoyed! There was plenty of meat and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cheese; which was rich and flavorful (usually I just expect something that tastes store-bought, which does the job). While I loved my food, menu items might be hit-or-miss. My friend for a chicken quesadilla and didn't love the way the chicken tasted. We also got the rainbow cookie empanadas and churros, which I thought they were a bit too dough-y and not as fluffy to my taste. There are great deals here every day of the week. Today was Wine Wednesday, so we got a pitcher of sangria for the table. Only critique would be that the music was a bit loud, so not ideal if you're trying to talk or catch up, but great if you're here for a night out! ”
“ I came to Barito on a cool summer day with my bf. While still busy, there weren't as many people as usual so it was perfect for a relaxing noon lunch. I love the bright colors coupled with ample seating. We were seated near a large window, overlooking the town of Port Jefferson. The sun was in full brightness and we were greeted with a cool breeze. This spot in the restaurant gave an air of romanticism. The food was excellent and came in large portions. I didn't know guacamole and chips could be presented in a unique way--large rounded, baked chips for dipping into a smoothe spread of guac is a novelty! We also shared a large burrito and It's contents were very fresh and substantive! I also greatly appreciated how they served water with ice, a simple addition that goes a long way for me. I'm excited to come back here in the future to try some more delicious foods. :) ”
